Meet the Team

We’re run by a team of dedicated volunteers from the local community, our user groups and young professionals. Why not join in?

Current Management Team

We currently have seven team members and are on the lookout for more. We have a real mix of locals, centre users and young professionals. Could you be our next member?

Clair Chew

Acting Treasurer

Clair’s excellent numeracy skills help keep the management committee on track and with our planning for the future..

Roger Khan

Acting Secretary

Roger takes the minutes and reminds the team what they’ve agreed – thanks for keeping us in line, Roger!

Jay Maxwell

centre user

Jay runs weekly fencing classes at the centre and helps us stay focused on the end user.

Michael McGrath

Mawbey Rep

Michael is extremely active in the local community, and currently heads up the Mawbey Brough TRA team. He’s a can do person, and turns his hand to just about anything at Wheatsheaf. And he’s a dab hand at calling the bingo numbers at the Wednesday morning pensioners group!

Angie Pearson

Wyvil Rep

Angie is also extremely active locally, and is something of an amateur historian. There’s not many questions about the history of the Wheatsheaf she can’t answer.

Oscar Tang

Committee Member

Legal whiz Oscar is helping us negotiate the choppy waters of charity registration. .

Lucy Thompson

Actiing chair

Charity manager Lucy brings a calm nature, her professional skills and clear thinking. Like all our trustees, she’s the embodiment of the old adage that if you want something doing, ask a busy person!

New Member

could this be you?

We are very keen to recruit more members to the committee, particularly locals. We’d love to have a representative of Heman’s Estate. If you’d like to find out more, please email us on wheatsheafhall@nullgmail.com.
