Terms and Conditions
If you’re hiring Wheatsheaf, you’ll need to read and abide by our Terms and Conditions of Hire.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO ACCEPT BOOKINGS UNTIL APRIL 2022 AT THE EARLIEST.
In the Spotlight
We have four fantastic spaces for hire, together or separately, making this the perfect venue for celebrations of all kinds, concerts, rehearsals, meetings and classes.
Your Questions Answered
Our spaces are available for hire between 0830 and 2300, Monday-Sunday. The building must be vacated by 2300.
We are normally closed between Christmas and early January.
We charge a deposit based on the number of spaces hired and the duration. All deposits are returnable, with deductions for damages, 7 days after the time of hire.
Setting Up and Cleaning
We don’t provide cleaners, but we can recommend reliable contractors. Contact us for more details. If you don’t use a cleaning company, you’d better get a dustpan and brush out!
Cancellations must be done in writing. you must inform us in writing. If you give more than 14 days notice, Wheatsheaf Hall will refund you everything that you have paid. If you give less than 14 days notice, Wheatsheaf Hall will repay the hire charge but keep the deposit.
The kitchen must be hired in advance. Do your own catering or bring in a catering company. Hire includes use of range with double oven, fridge freezer, microwave and two sinks. Hirer must supply own cooking equipment and utensils.
You are welcome to decorate the hall for your event. Please ensure you include decorating time in your booking request. See our gallery for some inspiration!
Main Hall – 10 5 X 3 ft & 2 3ft square tables
Main Hall – 4 Trestle tables (stored in the office – please ask!)
Small Hall – 2 5 x 3 ft & 2 small 3ft square tables
If you move tables around, please return them to where you found them!
It’s a big NO. No helium balloons or canisters permitted in the building – sorry!
We provide 165 chairs in the main hall for sit-down events. Please ensure you stack the chairs safely after your event. If you move chairs from room to room, please return them to where you found them. Remember we’re a volunteer-run organisation and don’t have 100s of staff.
There is very little parking in the neighbourhood. You are liable to be fined and/or towed if you park in the lane.
We provide free WiFi and access to a smart TV for meetings and presentations. You will need to bring your own laptop! We also provide a flip chart stand for the more traditionally minded.
Unfortunately we can’t accept party bookings for people aged between 12 and 21 under any circumstances.
