About us
The Wheatsheaf Hall has been a community venue since 1988 when members of the local community leased the building from the council. It was awarded grade II listed status in 1975 and is run by volunteers.
There are 2 spaces that can be hired for community and business meetings, meditation groups, faith groups, council surgeries, rehearsal space, weddings, christenings, birthday parties and bingo.
A volunteer management committee manages and maintains the hall and is made up from representatives from Mawbey Brough and Wyvil Estates, user groups and local residents. If you would like to be involved in the running of the Wheatsheaf hall please contact the bookings officer.
